Man & Biz Corporation이 태국 K & K 에 수출을 하는 경우 17년 동안 상품대금은
T/T in advanced 조건으로 거래를 해 왔고
단 한번도 예외가 없이 잘 이행되어 왔기에 참 고맙기도 한 거래처이자
정이 많이 든 고객이기도 하다.
그런데
이번 4월에 수출의 경우는 달랐다.
수출대금은 선적 전 약 1주일 내지 10일 전에 항상 거래은행으로 외화의 내도 통지가 있었는데...
이번 경우에는 선적이 이틀 밖에 남지 않았는데...
이미 송금을 했다는데 외화내도 통지가 없어 궁금하고 의아하였지만
곧 은행에서 연락이 있겠지 하며 기다렸는데....
너무 늦어진다는 약간의 불안감도 있어서
태국에 연락을 취하여 송금한 전신환의 행방에 대하여 추적을 부탁하였다.
우선 선적은 계획대로 진행하고
shipping documents도 EMS로 보냈다.
태국에서 연락이 왔다.
태국의 K & K 거래은행은 전신환을 미국의 거래은행으로 보내고 다시 미국은행이
Man & Biz 거래은행인 신한은행으로 보내오는 방식인데...
태국으로부터의 상품대금이 미국을 경유하는 경우 미국의 OFAC에서 해외로 달러가 송금되는 경우에
과거에는 하지 않았던 통제를 강화하기 시작한 것으로
자금이 이란이나 시리아 혹은 보스니아 등의 관련회사나 지사로 흘러들어가는 것을 통제하기 위해
Man & Biz.의 필요한 이런저런 정보를 확인한 후 이상이 없을 경우에 송금을 한다는 것이다.
즉시 OFAC의 질의 사항에 대하여 아래와 같이 답을 보냈고
3일 후 전신환 내도를 통지 받아 이상없이 처리가 되었다.
약 2주 늦게 수출대금을 받은 셈으로 처음 있는 일이라서 당황을 했었다.

3. The address of Deug Soo Hwang is same as the address of Man & Biz Corporation.
4. Man & Biz Corporation is private company and is owned by only Deug Soo Hwang.
5. I operate only Man & Biz Corporation and there is no branch, parent company, sister company,
and subsidiary company.
I hope above information shall be forwarded to OFAC, USA for solving problem. If you need any
additional necessary information, please let me know it.
